Overwhelmed and Thankful!

I just wanted to pop in and say...WOW!  We were blown away by the amount of traffic, comments, and new followers that Young House Love brought to us.  I really need to step up my blogging, photography, and projects around here.  Yikes!
Just a friendly warning for the new followers:  I have a full time job, I am currently 17 weeks pregnant, and I have a full time job (I said that already didn't I?, but I feel like it is important to repeat) so blogging on a very regularly basis is tough; However, I am going to do my best!
Here is a list of projects that are completed and still need to be blogged about:

  • Orb chandelier in stairwell
  • Stump coffee table
  • Built-ins around the living room fireplace
  • Hidden litter box
  • Organization projects
  • Master bedroom progress
  • Guest bedroom
  • Completion of backyard project
  • Shed installation
  • Garage

And a lot of smaller projects.

Thanks again for stopping in, browsing around, and becoming a follower.  I hope that you'll stick around!  So what should the next post be about?  Let me know your preferences!!

  1. I'm a spare time blogger, too, I totally get how tricky it is to find time to DO all the things on your list, not to mention remember to photograph them and blog about it later!! Congratulations on your pregnancy :-) Oh, and since you asked, I love a good organization project.

  4. Looking forward to reading more from you! Would love to read how you made a hidden litter box... not something I've read too much about, but definitely something we are looking to build in the coming months! All of the other things, I'd of course still love to read, because your home is beautiful. :)

    Congrats on the baby!

  6. Hello! I'm also one of the visitors sent over from YHL and I'm really inspired by the colors in your home (sort of smoky and cozy, but cheerful!)

I'm 15 weeks pregnant, so am curious to see how your style might change to adapt to the new baby :) I'm looking forward to possible nursery decorating...:)

Thanks for sharing all the lovely inspiration!

  10. I'm a YHL person. There's no way I'd be able to keep a daily blog. Remember that for alot of people it is their full time job. I'll keep reading when you post and hopefully steal some of your ideas. Love the wall in the entry! I'd vote Orb chandelier and hidden litter box as the firsts. Congrats on growing a baby!!!

  17. Hey guys. I love your blog! Can you tell me where you got the console table that is behind you in the picture of you and your husband on YHL? Its in the 2nd and 3rd pictures on YHL's post. I love it!

    1. Thanks! The console table was a lucky find at Home Goods. It was a bit orange so we took some ebony stain and rubbed it all over the wood to make it less "pumpkin like".

  23. I've been working my way through the yhl archives and came across your beautiful home! Did you ever get around to blogging about the stump coffee table? I have a salvaged stump that I'd really like to adapt in a similar manner and could use some tips!
